Mike and Nicci Higginson are October 16 Consulting. They met in 2001, Mike as an Agency Nurse and Nicci as a Care Assistant and they quickly realised that they shared a love for great quality care and developed the same for each other.

October 16 Consulting started in the midst of the Covid 19 Pandemic in your guessed it October 2020, on the 16 to be precise which just happens to be their oldest daughter’s birthday as well.

Since the beginning Mike with over 20 years of operational and trouble-shooting experience and Nicci with her common sense and no nonsense approach have assisted providers move services from Inadequate to Good ratings as well as created and stabilised management teams to be the best in their locality, whilst taking providers occupancy figures to 99%, their staff turnover down to 6% and their agency use to less than 3%.
